Dear Family and Friends,
I will be traveling to Peru with Ingage Unlimited in the summer of 2024, along with a team of other passionate educators, to empower educators in extreme poverty.
Peru has a challenge to improve educational quality. By age ten, only 44% of the population can adequately read or understand simple text. Socioeconomic status largely defines what kind of educational experience students will have. While in Peru, our team will visit small towns in the Andes Mountains to provide training to Peruvian educators who rarely, if ever, receive professional development opportunities.
As a result of this trip, we are able to pass on skills and information that can continue to be utilized and passed to others in education despite the lack of resources.
