Dear Friends and Family,
I am so excited to let you know about another amazing opportunity I have to travel with a team of teachers and doctors and sonographers to Peru this summer! We will be providing professional development training, educational training, ultrasound training and medical care for the beautiful people of Cusco, Peru!
As many of you know, I was so fortunate to have gone on my first trip last summer to Rwanda and it has changed my life! As we spent time with educators and community leaders we gained an understanding of the challenges these amazing people face and we had the opportunity to learn from their experiences. In so many ways, I feel like I learned so much more from them than I ever could have brought to them. I look forward to another opportunity like this. I am sure the learning will once again be mutual and many more relationships will be established. I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am!
Each team member has been asked to raise funds to cover the expenses and resources for this service opportunity - what that means, is that this trip is entirely self-funded. I am wondering if you would be willing to be a part of my support team and help me raise these funds? This volunteer service trip is facilitated by the non-profit organization INGAGE UNLIMITED. (You've probably heard me talk about how amazing this organization is!)
