I am thrilled to be traveling to Panama this summer to work with educators in Panama City and the San Blas Islands.

Education is the hope for many Panamanians.  It represents a great possibility to overcome and prepare to have a better quality of life. The option of studying or not depends in many cases on the income level of the family.

Panama's economic progress has been hampered periodically by environmental problems and political turmoil. About one-third of its people live in hamlets or isolated dwellings, and many engage in subsistence agriculture. While elementary education is compulsory and free for children between ages 6 and 15, one-third of Panamanians age 25 and older have not completed primary school.

I am excited to have the opportunity to work with dedicated educaators working to improve their schools and communities.

Each team member has been asked to raise $3,000 to cover the expenses for this serving opportunity.  Would like to be a part of my support team and help me try to raise these funds? Because this is a volunteer service trip facilitated by the non-profit organization INGAGE Unlimited, all donations are tax deductible and can be made online here. Just select my name on the right hand side from the list of team members.

I am excited to travel to yet another country with Ingage Unlimited!

Thank you so much for your consideration!

Jen
