Hello there!
I am grateful' to share that I will be traveling with INGAGE this summer to Kenya, continuing our mission to empower educators in areas of extreme poverty.
Our work will take place in Kibera, the largest urban slum in Kenya, Africa. We are partnered with the Bringing Miracles School, a school that provides education and meals to children from pre-k through grade six, emphasizing academic excellence and a spirit of community service. In the upcoming years, our goal is to build onto the curriculum and teach grade seven and eight. I encourage you to learn more about the school here: https://bringingmiracles.com.
In the months ahead, my INGAGE team and I will develop professional development workshops to address the academic and social-emotional needs identified by the Kenyan teachers. These workshops are designed to strengthen the skills of local educators, enabling them to better serve their students and community.
