I once again have the wonderful opportunity to travel with INGAGE Unlimited this June! This summer’s destination is a return trip to Kenya!
As in the past, I will be working in an area where extreme poverty greatly impacts a child’s ability to achieve an education. Our destination is Kibera, the largest urban slum in Africa. There, we will be working with the teachers from the Bringing Miracles School. This is the same school I was at in 2019. I am thrilled to be returning to Bringing Miracles and working with the dedicated teachers, as well as it's amazing director, Monica. In the last several years the school has had the opportunity to grow and is able to educate students pre-school to grade 6, but is looking to expand to cover grades 7 and 8. These teachers are dedicated to delivering a quality education and work hard to ensure that all students pass governement tests.
Over the next several months my INGAGE Unlimited team and I will begin to create professional development workshops to help meet the academic and social/emotional needs expressed by the Kenyan teachers.
Would you consider being a part of my support team by making a small donation? Because this is a volunteer service trip facilitated by the non-profit organization INGAGE Unlimited, all contributions are 501(c)3 tax deductible donations. Your donation will provide support for the families and students with whom we meet and assist with our travel. Verbal and spiritual support are also very welcomed and appreciated!
I look forward to sharing our experiences with you. I’ll be posting on Facebook during my journey. Please feel free to email me if you have any questions, comments, requests to join me, or stories to share about an experience you’ve had with a trip of this nature.
Thank you so much for your time and consideration!
With gratitude-
Julie
