Dear friends and family,
I have an incredible opportunity to travel to Peru this winter. In partnership with Ingage and the Impacto Cristiano Church in Chiclayo, our team will provide leadership and training workshops to support their Vacation Bible School program. While we are there, we will work to help their community's leaders to plan and lead summer VBS for 200 children.
I believe that this opportunity is right for me for several reasons. Among them are: 1) The leadership skills required are in line with my professional skills. This is a chance to share with others some of the wisdom and experience I have gained in 13 years of ministry. 2) I have been taking Spanish at Harper College since September, and I'm excited to have an opportunity to put this life skill to use. 3) I have always loved traveling and learning about other cultures, so this will be personally fulfilling for me as well.
